Society Tip Jar
« Topic Start: October 20, 2006, 02:00:37 PM »
Everywhere, the plague of incivility closes around us. Developments in the New World have unsettled the international balance of finance; Old Money, at times, does not stretch as far as once it did. We have even received word from the city that gentlemen thought to be of good standing must in some cases build homes without libraries or other necessities!

Help save the Society from common squalor. We ask that you might consider dropping any spare shillings from the day's activities into this box.

Donations go to the Society's chairman, Miskie, so that he might maintain the premises in their current luster.

Many thanks,
The Board

Egad!

I have clicked the link and it tells me that I have a current subscription, which has since expired.  There is no obvious way of changing this.  Perhaps one of you fine gentlemen might furnish me with a clue?

Is this a one off payment you can make when you want? or is it taken every week, I'm confused, by the 1 week bit.

Its a one time payment - the subscription engine is really made to allow access to a paid members area. there is no such thing, so it became an easy way to donate via The Society. There is no repayment, nagging, or anything else.

I just had to give the suscription engine an expiration date to make it happy. So, if you do donate, you cant donate again for a week.

At the moment, The collection will be put to registering the software that powers The Society. registration will allow me to legally upgrade it.

We are currently $165 away from that goal.

Well, between The Society Tip Jar, and tips from the loving folks on the mailroute I have more than enough extra cash to complete the software registration with perpetual upgrades and support.

there will be enough money left over to find myself a nice standard television with component inputs to stuff into an eventual MAME cabinet.

I also have more homemade baked goods, and gift cards to a local donut/coffee franchise than I need to eat myself into a crunchy artery coma. W00t!

Yes - It deposits into the Paypal account I use for business related things -so its is active, verified and protected.

And once a year, it gets taxed :P

I was intending to post that question into the thread about the problems and the potential update. Never mind.
