Hey, miskie - there's been a big new version of Tapatalk released (for iOS at least) - any progress on the "spoilers not displaying" front?

They're still not working for me but I'm hoping there might be a corresponding version of the site plugin that you might need to update?  Fingers crossed anyhow, I use Tapatalk all the time and it's still a major issue.

Ill have a looksee - Nearly every Tapatalk update accompanies a new forum interface, so it is possible there is good news to be had.

Is that an Android only thing?  I'm still on 1.13.2 on iOS.

Please tell me spoilers now work!

Afraid not! Still borked by the look of things. Also it must be an Android thing, unless your Tapatalk looks like this:

FFS.  Tapatalk's perfect apart from the spoilers thing, which is a massive issue.  I've had so many games spoiled by inadvertently reading something I thought was a quote rather than a spoiler.  Why on earth is it so difficult to get this working?

I'm not sure, but it is a MAJOR issue on the Tapatalk forums -  The Sock is running the latest Tapatalk server version, which sadly doesn't help. I was really hoping that the updated phone/tablet Tapatalk interface would solve the issue but it doesn't.

Now that I do the majority of my surfing through an Android device I have been thinking of buying Tapatalk but the spoilers thing is enough to put me off.

I realise there shouldn't be any difference between those, but going back to that one spoiler tag that worked I thought I'd try

Lol, it did

just capitalise the S in Spoiler and it's fine

you can have that one for free

Doesn't work for me.  I get the usual "Spoiler for Hiden" quote for the first one, and then the second one appears as unprotected text with a [/quote] after it for some unknown reason.  Both work fine in a normal web browser.

What version of Tapatalk are you running?

Good question... an android version, but not the most recent that's for sure

looks to be 1.13.4

edit: I've just updated it to the latest version and it works in that; maybe it's just the version you're on or an iOS thing

Yep the second spoiler works perfectly on my phone too. Is there any EASY way to force that S to be capitalised on this forum? Obviously it's not going to be much use if people still forget to use a capital (not that they should have to remember).

Or failing that, did jones just discover something that the Tapatalk team don't know, and in which case can we tell them? :D

Just for the record, I've had a few forced closes since the update. It's never happened before so it seems like the stability's gone a bit wonky.
