Ooh, just finished Noveria and

Hit a really strange bug in the final fight though which resulted in Shepherd being frozen in place with her neck gradually elongating right across the room. Most bizarre. Then it crashed. Of course the game's last auto-save was about an hour beforehand. facepalm.gif

I got that bug too. That entire fight is a mess.

Yeah, I liked that bit. I did as Gar did on both current playthroughs. Didn't encounter the bug, though. Very random.

Played through all of Virmire last night, it was excellent and that's me into the home stretch I guess.

As I was playing around with different characters for my team I started thinking about what I want to do for my next playthrough. I don't think that I be able to get up to level 60 in the rest of the game since I only just reached level 50 so I could try for a quick run through on Insane to get those achievements. I also want to do an Engineer playthrough as I haven't tried that yet and I also want to try playing a Vanguard as my guide suggests that they would kick ass!

If I want to get the full 1200 points from the game then I am going to have to do another two complete playthroughs which is a fairly daunting task.

I've heard that the amount of XP you need to get from 59 to 60 is so huge that it virtually requires an entire playthrough just for that one level. Also, you might want to watch the spoilers in your post above.

Apologies. I hate spoilers myself so you would think I would know better. Guess I'm too used to talking to people who are re-playing it.

Yeah, I whapped some spoilarz tags on it, just in case.

I made a major cock up and did a planet I shouldn't. Now I'm scrabbling for the 35 side missions to get the "complete a majority of the game" achievement. I forgot you couldn't go back somewhere after doing something, before the bit where you really can't go back anywhere.

Yea, my first 42hr playthrough I didn't manage to get any of the 'majority' achievements.

"Not entirely shit" is about what I'd say about it too, but even you have to admit that's faint praise.

Bring Down The Sky is much better. One of the more memorable sections of the game for me so far, in fact.

Yeah, I liked BDTS. Tough moral choice at the end, had me pondering. Then I acted like a bastard.

I quite liked BDTS, but felt it would have been better as part of the main game. A DLC extra would have been better providing some new aspect to the game, such as a new weapon, character, power, or whatever, all centred around a new location and new quandry. For all the Dragon Age DLC has been a bit short, it has managed to get this aspect correct so far: even if you don't like the tacked on bit of adventure, at least you get some cool stuff as well. Still, BDTS was free, so no complaints, I suppose.

Oddly, I found the last BDTS battle very hard on the first run through, and almost grew frustrated with it. On this recent playthrough, I breezed through it with ease, and was a little surprised I found it hard the first time.

The callback to that decision in the second game is quite touching.

And that's My 2nd playthrough finished. 39hrs this time as a Biotic Renegade on Hardcore difficulty.

Quick question for those of you who have maxed out the game: Will I find it easier to complete an Insane playthrough starting with my level 52 Biotic or by starting a new character?

I remember it being fairly straightforward starting again with the levelled-up character; the start of the game on Insane isn't really much more difficult than the end of the game on Hardcore, so it feels almost like an extension of the difficulty curve.

At least, as far as I remember.
