I always thought it was "It's Time That", ie "It's Time That we get very excited about GTA IV".

What is wrong with using words? Also, if it's an acronym, it really should be I.T.T.

Standards, gentlemen, are slipping.

The character creator for this is now up on Steam.

It's weird - given that this is probably THE big PC exclusive release for Christmas, and is by a massively popular developer, and is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate which pretty much everyone loves - given all that, I still know virtually nothing about it.

PC exclusive? I thought it was coming to the 360 at the same time and, eventually, to the PS3.

I thought both console versions were coming later, but I may be wrong.

I thought all three were released at the same time. Shows you how much I've been playing attention. The PSN certainly has enough videos of the game (well, a few).

You've been paying more attention than me - looks like you are right!

Now it seems REALLY weird that such a big game is out in a few weeks.

Absolutely. The hype machine has not been very strong behind this. Still, I'm very keen to own it; however, I may keep it as a Christmas present from Santa, assuming my willpower is strong.

...

Yeah, that's likely.

See I'm fairly sure that those that Bioware are hoping to bring in with a grim and gritty RPG of epic fantasy already know that this game is coming out. Hell, they've known about this game ever since before it was set in the Dragonlance Universe, changed to be set in the Forgotten Realms universe and then turned into their own franchise.

This game has been in development for a long, long -long- time.

This is without a doubt the worst and least enthusiastic 'Excitement!!!' thread I've ever seen. It started off okay, but has devolved to such an extent that half of you didn't seem to realise the game was coming out, and the other half didn't know what for.

It's like if me, Hapi and MPH had spent the last three weeks in the Uncharted 2 thread going on about how good it looked, and what a shame it was it was that it was only being released on the Atari Jaguar.

No footage of the PS3 version has been shown yet. I'd hold off ordering it if you were intending to pick it up for that format...

To be honest, this game receiving no attention will be fine by me. It's not a game I want to have to justify to people, I just want to sink in and geek out while you're all playing FIFA and CoD. tongue.gif

It's not going to be open for discussion on my part. I'm just going to sit there, in the comfiest chair I can find, and play it. Should make a nice change after babbling about every detail of every big game of the last five years.

Which reminds me - I thought the corner had finally been turned, and the multi-format differences were becoming less and less obvious/important, and then they show Bayonetta (which Famitsu's apparently given the (formerly) hallowed 40/40) on the PS3 running and it's... how should I put this... less than smooth.

Hopefully that's been tidied up, as it was weeks ago now, but it's still irritating, especially on a game I was keeping an eye on.

And no, there isn't already a Bayonetta thread.

Famitsu gave the PS3 version 38/40, and the 360 version 40/40. The port, handled by Sega, is apparently not as smooth as it could be.

Fortunately, I don't really care for what I've seen of the game, but 38/40 (or 40/40) is a damn fine score, and is perhaps enough to drap my attention. Then again, Famitsu gave Nintendogs 40/40, so I'm not holding my breath here.

I was pretty certain that I'd seen the PS3 version coming 2 weeks after the 360 and P versions. Indeed, Giant Bomb still has information to that effect, though most of the large online and high street retailers are giving simultaneous dates on all platforms.

This is going to be as single-player as they come, right? If that's the case (and the PS3 version isn't gimped in some way when compared to the 360) I may gor for the Sont version. Mostly because I can delay buying it until I have my PS3 back.
