Luchtime trip to the shops to pick up number 1 then. Played the demo but wasn't impressed enough to pay full price at the time.

Nah. Doing so little gaming at the moment it's really not worth it. Who knows though, maybe this is a sign of things to come with regard to pricing, and I can pick one up later in the year if my gaming time increases again and it'd be rude not to.

Doubt it though.

James

Jimmy

Jim

Camerons Avatar the game

£14.99 at Amazon on both 360 and PS3...or at least it was last Friday when i ordered it...probably still is.

Got some iffy reviews...might be worth a punt

edit
http://www.amazon.co.uk/James-Camerons-Ava...F8&s=videogames

still is in stock, obviously people aren't that keen to sample Jim's latest work (which presumably was a few texts to Ubi saying 'Not blue enuff, cya l8r' and 'im k1ng ov world'....he is a pikey you see).

no more than a few days after i bought it Galcon Fusion is down to £2 in the latest Steam midweek sale (and probably well worth it at that price as quite a simple yet diverting way to spend some time)

is there any point buying stuff from Steam if it's not in a sale as sooner or later it will be?

HMV are selling DJ Hero (all formats) for £49.99 at the moment. I assume they are trying to reduce the space currently occupied by all those massive instrument bundle boxes.

I've bought it and am now looking forward to my wife's reaction as I lug yet another large piece of music game-related tat through the door this evening.

Nah, it's the same in some other places too. The regular version is £50 on Amazon too, with the Renegade Edition (with the case/table) having dropped under a ton.

Post your impressions when you get a chance - I was vaguely intrigued anyway, but for (basically) the price of a regular game I might be tempted...

Will do. For £50 I couldn't resist; I do love my music games even if this particular musical genre isn't really my thing. Word of mouth on the title has been consistently great though so I'm expecting good things.

This might well be a mispricing error, as it's definitely too good to be true, but if you're at least vaguely interested then it might be worth sticking a tentative pre-order in.

Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, plus Wii Speak, plus the new Classic Controller Pro: £30.99 at Amazon.

If it is a misprice, I'm starting to call bullshit on amazon's frequent "pricing errors". Put up a pricing error, watch hotukdeals and other sites go insane, watch traffic flow in, cancel pre-orders 3 weeks down the line. It seems like amazon's new business strategy - that or they've got a work experience lad in.
